The Rivers State House of Assembly has confirmed five commissioner nominees and rejected four others following a screening exercise during plenary.
Those confirmed include Tonye Bellgam, Temple Nwofor, Peters Nwagor, Lekue Kenneth, and Amairigha Hart.
However, the Assembly declined to confirm Datonye Alasia, Charity Deemua, Tamuno Williams, And Otonye Amachree, citing unresolved issues relating to discrepancies and controversies in their submitted documents.
Speaker of the House, Martin Amaewhule, who presided over plenary, disclosed this in his summation after listening to motions from his colleagues.
